Historic Sites: Where America’s Story Unfolds
Philadelphia is the birthplace of American democracy, and in 2026, that history comes alive as the nation marks its semiquincentennial. A short walk away from the conference, you can walk through the room where the Declaration of Independence was signed at Independence Hall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A few steps away, you can stand face to face with the Liberty Bell, or visit the Museum of the American Revolution’s exhibit, “The Declaration’s Journey,” showcasing the history of our revolutionary story. Take a short drive to tour Valley Forge National Historical Park. There’s no better place to immerse yourself in national history than the city known as America's birthplace.

World-Class Arts and Culture
Philadelphia is proud to be home to some of the most celebrated art collections. Wander the exhibits (and run the Rocky steps!) at the Philadelphia Art Museum; take in the outdoor gardens at the Rodin Museum; or get inspired by modern masterpieces at the Barnes Foundation, home to one of the world’s most important collections of impressionist, post-impressionist, and early modernist paintings.

Festivals Celebrating Philadelphia Firsts
Throughout 2026, Philadelphia is recognizing the nation’s semiquincentennial with a year of festivals celebrating the city’s many historic firsts. Join the party on Saturday, November 7, with a “Firstival” marking America’s first Thanksgiving Day Parade (held in Philadelphia in 1920).
